Summary: Mirantis raised $100m in a Series B round led by Insight Venture Partners and August Capital. Existing investors Intel Capital, WestSummit Capital Management, Ericsson and Sapphire Ventures also participated. Mirantis previously raised about $20m. Media reports are talking about a $800m valuation.
Hosted OpenStack: Mirantis has also moved into hosting. It offers OpenStack as a hosted service directly to customers that want to get out of capex. This is a private cloud and not a multi-tenant public cloud.
